Because I couldn't spend Mother's day with my own mother, or with Baby O (incidentally, they spent the day together, and got to take a train ride. O's new favorite thing is trains) I did what any dutiful auntie would do and spent a bit of time knitting for my niece-to-be.
A pink flower washcloth fit the bill perfectly. (Reverse-bloom washcloth from the book Weekend Knits, one of the first knitting books I ever bought.) And it helped me bust some stash that I imagine I've had since college. Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille, ball band long lost. I have another skein in lime green. Should I knit another flower, or should I find another fun pattern?

Make another flower. The first one is just so cute.
Whatever you make, it will be beautiful...
