And now for something completely seasonally inappropriate.

It's a whopping 99 degrees today with a 105-degree heat index, so I did what any rational knitter would do: laundry.



That's 25 pairs of socks and a pair of legwarmers. I'm taking advantage of the outrageous heat and wind to dry my socks in an eco-friendly manner.

I also finished one of those pairs of socks this afternoon.



These are what I'm calling the Mystery Socks, because I found the first sock buried in a project bag in my closet, with no indication of what pattern I was using. The yarn is Zauberball Crazy, which I really liked knitting with, even though the socks kind of ping my Type-A tendencies because they don't match. I'm not sure the yarn has any sort of discernible repeat, so I am rolling with it.
